Haijun Jin has joined the faculty of Renmin University of China School of Law when he received his Ph. D degree there in 2001. Before that, he has practiced the law in a private law firm for two years since he obtained his LL.B degree from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law and passed the Chinese Bar Exam in 1993. His two more LL.M degrees are from Renmin University and the University of Washington in Seattle respectively. He also studied and worked in the foreign institutions for the last decade, among others, including being visiting professor at the University of Frankfurt am Main and the University of Washington, and being visiting scholar at Harvard Law School and Max-Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law in Munich. His research covers various aspects in the field of intellectual property, including the broad issues such as IP as private rights, IP and the social development, and the specific issues such as copyright fair use, trademark consumer survey, compulsory patent license etc.
