Edefe has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Lagos, a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International and Comparative Law from the American University in Cairo, and other academic and professional qualifications, including a Master of Arts (MA) from King’s College London. Edefe is the co-founder and general editor of the Young African Research Arena (YARA) and the Open Educational Resources (OER) lead for Creative Commons Nigeria, and is involved in making educational and academic resources available for African students and researchers under open licenses.
